Traction Control Issues

I'm having intermittent problems with the traction control on my 2004 C5. The Traction Control Light / Service Engine Soon light comes and when I stop the engine and restart it, the light clears and resets.

Does anyone have any sugestions as to where I should trouble shooting?

I would definitely pull the codes to find out more details. From the dash hold down the Options button and press the fuel button 4 times to go into diagnostic mode. Scroll to the section that has the traction control codes. I would write them down and reset the codes and see how quickly they come back.
