You don't need to remove the ABS unit to replace the PS pump. There is a bracket that attatches the ABS unit to the front crossmember. Remove that and your almost home free!
So I can leave the ABS unit attached to all the brake lines, I just need to undo the bracket the holds the the ABS unit to the cross member. Then do what, bush the ABS unit towards the front of the car? There is enough play in the lines to do that?
If I do it that way, is there still room to get the pulley puller in there to get the P/S pulley off?
Or can I get the P/S pump out without taking the pulley off first?

take off belt, alternator, top radiator hose and ps pump reservoir.
unfortunately it takes forever to unbolt the PS pump, bolts can only turn like an eighth of a turn etc. rent a ps pulley puller at autozone, use the long needle attachment. Lots of guys break the pulley removing, and its $20 to replace. I got it all at gm parts direct, very reasonable. Just leave the ABS hanging by the lines in the car
