HID Headlight Doesn't Open...Help
Hi there,
Im new here. Nice to meet everyone
My name is Tak, and currently own a 99 red conv. vette .
Few days ago, I hooked up the Hid set which i bought from xbay.($150)
It has a problem. The headlight doesn't flip all the time. I may need to turn it twice or more. Other than this, it works fine.
Can anyone gimme some suggestions?

Do you hear any grinding noises ? Our cars are known for the plastic gears stripping out.
Most typically with these HOD kits the lights will not go down because of resistance (electrical) variances to that of the stock lights. In that case by flipping on your Hi Beams and then closing lights they work properly. You might want to try that when you open them.

I said to try that, but most importantly do you hear any grinding noises ?
C5's have plastic gears in the headlight motors and they are notorious for breaking.
So check it out and post back what you find.
