I replaced both knock sensors today. Had the check engine light for a while and the code for rear knock sensor error.
Decided to replace both. Glad I did. The front was rusted but the rear was fine. Built up a little dam with rtv silicone like the TSB says.
Got it together drove around. Everything fine until I decide to make a left turn. Turn signal indicates that have a bad bulb and the check engine light comes on. Pull over to check codes and get P0327, knock sensor front circuit. What does this mean?
Did you replace the seals that the sensors sit in? I was talking to a GM tech and said that those needed to be replaced as well because if not codes could be generated? Just a thought. Sure stinks if you have to open the intake again.
I did not see any thing in there except some rust pieces. I sucked those out and then replaced the sensors. The rubber pieces that plug the hole on top looked fine so just put them back and sealed it up with rtv. Is there supposed to be some robber seal that also goes around the sensor inside the hole?
