Vibration - help me diagnose
I could use a little help on this one.
There is a vibration that can be felt in the shifter when the RPM's are over 3000 or so. It can be felt when driving and when the car is stopped and in neutral.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had a vibration at 2500-3000 rpm,felt in shifter and drivers seat,it ended up being a bad torque tube.It flexed to much and put groovs in slave cylinder and pilot bearing.I had to replace tube,clutch,slave.I also had bad harmonic balancer and idler pully,replaced those first,car still had vibration.The hard part is you have to take car apart to find problem with torque tube.If that ends up your problem it is very straight foward repair.Don't half-*** it or problem will come back.Cost about 4500.good luck,I hope it is minor.

Harmonic Balancer Pully
I have a 1999 corvette and recently noticed a vibration and scrapping sound. I got the front of the car off the ground and realized I had a belt off. Upon closer inspection I seen that the harmonic balancer pully was rubbing on the steering components. I reached in and discoved the center bolt for the harmonic balancer was loose enough to turn with my fingers causing the pully to come forward and through the belt. Has anyone else had this issue or familiur what the issue might be other than just being loose?
