Default Easiest Mods for my 01 C5?

I am new to the c5 world...picked up a 2001 Dark Navy Blue 6sp targa. What are entry lvl mods that will give the cool factor (hp and sound)? I plan on the Corsa pace car exhaust kit. Is this a good start?

Cold Air Intake, exhaust. Exhaust for sound, no hp. CAI for about 15 hp. Find and listen to a car with Corsa installed before you select the pace car exhaust.

I've run Stingers and they sound great. Swapped them out for Corsa pace cars after my American Racing LT install. To much drone after the headers with the stingers. They both have an awesome sound.

If you are planning on headers or H/C package, get the touring exhaust. The pace car can get loud once the headers go on.

I want loud, but cab loud. Not interested in any drone...like to be able to talk to the lady friend while cruising. Is the Corsa Pace Car the way to go?

Thanks a lot, Chuck. Had so much drone in my C4 with magnaflows. Is it loud enough to make everyone with windows down to look my way? (as if car doesn't turn heads by itself!)

Which is the best intake setup for the $?
I can buy Diablosport programmers at a great price...are they worth it? MPG and HP gains?
Also any luck with volant or AFE intake kits? I can get great buys on one of those 2.

IMO - this is not the way to go. Try to find a car with it and listen. If you drive the car every day, and park in a parking garage at work - and you want to carry conversation in the car - and may do additional future mods - it will be VERY loud to live with day to day. If this is occasional weekend car - why the hell not, go for it.

I used to have B&B PRTs on my car - they sounded very cool but eventually I found them to be too loud for daily duty with all the other mods.

I have the Corsa Pace Cars with stock headers. I love them, it's only loud when you stomp it. That's when you want it loud though........

Great exhaust I would recommend

i have listened to the touring kit...will the pace car setup be loud at a cruise? i dont care if its loud when the windows are down, just want to be able to talk to the lady friend when we are on short trips on the freeway. I hear idle the car is not loud, but i want it loud when you mash the gas. Any one in Utah SLC area have this exhaust?

I have the Corsa and they sounded great with long tubes x-pipe and hi-flow cats. I then had a big cam installed and got an off road x-pipe (catless) and the sound changed a lot. It sounds like a prostock car now at idle and gets pretty loud if I get on it. Even while cruising it sounds mean. I still like the sound and get compliments all the time but now it's LOUD
