I bought one a while back from a company called Team ZR-1 in Oregon I believe. The icebox was actually made by southeasten fiberglass inc. You might try teamzr1.com or google these and see what you come up with. I have the install instructions, but there's no websites or phone numbers listed. Hope this helps
They have the WORST web site I've ever tried to use. I typed in Blackwing as a keyword. It sent me two hundred items to look at. After the first five pages it quit responding. That is the reason why I never buy from them. What a hassle. David
I saw that tybrne had them. Im wondering if it will work with my halltech tric intake system
The DONALDSON/SLP cover (aka "ice box") for the BLACKWING is designed/molded to work only with that filter. It's molded to conform to that filter only so as to block off as much engine compartment air as possible and allow cold/fresh/cooler (whatever is PC) when the shroud is cut open.
I had a cover for sale a few months back when everyone was buying the HONKER and no one was interested in it.

I liked the looks of it, almost oem with the cover in place. I cut the radiator shroud to the exact size of the BLACKWING filter media. It sounded louder, but performance wise, I doubt that it improved anything. I didn't like the intermittent codes I got every time I drove my Z16. The codes were usually related to lean banks.
I think it had to do with the fact that I'm at 5,200 ft. I'd clear the codes and they'd be back. So, rather than drive 300 miles round trip for a $500 dyno tune, I decided to go back to the oem air box with a drop in K&N. I modified the opening larger as well. I don't notice any change in performance over the BLACKWING and I get no codes.
