Default Kooks X pipe question

I'm thinking about getting a set of Kooks headers with cats and wondering which x pipe to get, the 2 1/2 or 3 inch one. I will be using the stock TI exhaust for the cat back.
Thanks

Since your restricting the exhaust back down to 2 1/2" at the catback anyways, theres really no need for the 3"

IMHO.

2.5" piping is the best.

you'll only want the 3" if

a) the rest of your piping is 3"
b) you're running a high compression or FI aplication
OR
c) you're running a larger discplacement engine (383 CID+)

or if you plan on doing any of the above in the future...

The 2 1/2 x-pipe is 3'' until after the cats. It necks down to 2 1/2 " so it can hook up to the 2 1/2 " stock cat back.
