HELP Tranny Sensor hanging?????PIC INSIDE
Bought a 2002 Z06 with 14,000 miles one it. Car is super clean inside and out. Heard something "dinging or clinging" under the car and below is what I found. This sensor was just hanging there plugged in, and the exact one was on the side of the tranny, but no electrical was plugged in to it? Please advise what this sensor is and what it does, why would someone do this?? Or could this been left on the car from the factory? Thanks

Yeah, I imagine it's the one that makes you shift to 4th gear when you want to shift to 2nd. Most people put a resistor in the pigtail or install a cags eliminator. Never really thought of doing it like that.

Yeah, it's not a sensor, it's the CAGS solenoid.Or, actually, it's *another* CAGS solenoid!
