IMHO, if you are planning on 3.73's, I'd go with the Yank SS3600. If you're planning on staying with 3.15's, or installing 3.42's, I'd go with the Yank SS3200. The SS3200 is designed for 3.15s and is a great converter. So tight that it creeps when the car is in gear (w/315's), and goes like h!ll with WOT. I love mine, and I've got a fairly heavily modified C5 that I use as a DD whenever possible. If you don't belong to a club, contact your local ones and see if someone will take you for a drive with the combos you're thinking of. Good luck with whichever you choose. It's a great mod!

Do both converter and gears at same time.
3:73's are a good all around gear. I went with 3:90's cause i do alot of racing. So, like C5XTASY said a 3600 stall
I have Yank SS3600 and 3.73's...vette is a completely different car. Smokes the stock runflats at anything below 29 mph at wot. You will definitely need much better tires to take advantage of the change. The gearing still allows it to top out past 170 with stock tires.
Give JP a call: 813-628-0080 and he can go over all the pro's & con's. You can also test drive some different cars w/different gears & stall convertors at the shop if you are near.

One thing to think about in picking the TC is how the car will be used. For the 1/4 mile a high stall = low ET. If you plan to do any road course track events the high stall will generate high heat. You will then need to install a (large) tranny cooler or your A4 tranny will be toast. A good choice in gears is the GM late model Z06 rear 3.45 axle. The price is right and it's made for high performance.
