I have a 2000 Convertible with lots of Mods (405 RWHP) but without a Supercharger or Twin Turbos. I am considering installing one on. I would like to get to at least 550 RWHP.
What are the advantages and disadvantages between each the supercharger and turbos?
What brand to buy?
Would I have to do some modification to the car body because it is a convertible?

No body mods needed unless you go with magnacharger or kenne bell (require new hood)
Supercharger will cost less, still allow you to use longtube headers if you love the classic muscle sound. Also very maintainance free, the ECS Paxton kit seems to have eliminated belt problems.
Turbos can make huge power, boost controller is a big plus to easily switch between mild/wild power levels. No belt/pulley changes.
I think this discussion may be a lot more productive if you state your goals. RWHP? E.T.? Trap? Top Speed? Sound/Noise tolerance? Do you want to have the maximum amount of power that you can realistically use on the street or the track? Do you just want 600rwhp or do you just want a dyno-queen to throw up a 4 figure dyno # for bragging rights? I have a lot of questions myself about choosing between S/C and Turbo, but if you set up your goals clearly first, you will likely make the best decisions to achieve that goal.

NOS NOS NOS!!! 150HP shot would do the trick. You can have those cool looking bottles in the rear hatch and show them off to people .. it'll remind them of all those cars in The Fast and the Furious and get that ooo's and ahhh's from everyone. And get a red button mounted on top of your stick and have the words GO BABY GO on it like in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. It'll be cheaper then either options your looking at, faster to install, and you'll will have your 550HP at a flip of a button Just have a good tuner to install the stuff
A turbo car will always outrun a supercharged car. They just make more power through out the entire RPM band than a supercharged car.
Also alot more efficiently. No annoying noise from a turbo car driving around. You could swap a set of 6.0L heads on there and lower the compression some, 600rwhp is easily achievable....and have it all sounding and driving like stock.
It also has to do with your budget. Figure at least $3000 more for the install, fuel upgrades, boost controler and tune on the turbos. Where as the ECS Paxton comes with fuel pump, Racetronix fuel pump hot wire kit, injectors, spark plugs, 160deg thermostat, and belt. Most of the turbo systems don't come with fuel upgrades or the extras needed for the install. ECS Paxton can be installed and tuned for about $7500-8000. The turbo systems out there will run you $10,000++ to install and tune and buy the fuel upgrades.
That being said, if I were made of $$$ I would have went with the TTiX twin turbo kit. But I have been very happy with the ECS Paxton Self installed and tuned for under $7000...

I guess you have never seen a Top Fuel Dragster or Funny car.
So don't do anything and just lie, if its only on paper but i would think a very, very big turbo, like the kind of ones they use on jets.
That would be the easiest way wouldnt it. But seriously, if you only want a dyno sheet with a number and will never actually use it then nitrous might be the easiest/cheapest way to go.
Twin turbo Just remember hp gets expensive expecially if you are going to keep your engine stock. At 550 rwhp plus i see some drive train issues in your future.
