torque management question
How do you know if torque mangement is off or on? I have seen a couple posts about turning it off. How is that completed and what do you gain from it?

I had a stock PCM in my 2002 Z and beat the Chevy quarter-mile spec by 6 tens stock on stock tires and 9 tenths on DRs. If TM were an issue, that wouldn't have happened.

You won't really know when the TQ management is active--no light comes on and the power decrease is suttle and happens so fast you won't be able to tell---A Z06 does not have the same TQ mangement tables as an A4 automatic--Thats why it doesn't slow a 6 speed down hardly at all---BUT on an A4 the Torque subtraction goes as high as 30% in some instances !!!!! It happens during the shifts to protect the trans and rear axle from hard shifts at WOT--The car will lose momentum everytime it shifts with full TQ MGMT installed and does slow it down considerably--Many tuners take all of it out--some take out 50%--leaving some protection behind---There are 2 other tables that are there also that limit torque overall--those tables are called "TQ limiting tables"--AND the other is called "abuse mgmt table" (which is yet another one that protects the drivetrain from hard driving)---A 6 speed only has the latter 2

You have to buy a hand held tuner (like predator) or have a tuner adjust your program to limit or remove TM. It really wakes up an auto tranny but may not be with much on a M6 as stated above.
