Drivers side outside mirror don't work....need help
The outside mirror of my 02 stop working correctly. It goes up and down but not left to right. When I touch it...it is not nice and tight like the passanger side. The side closest to the door is very loose...almost feels like it came off track or a gear snapped or something.
anybody have this same problem?
Whats the fix....how do you get at the mirror? You have to take apart the door?
Anybody bring something like this to a dealer? I don't want to pay a ton but don't really know who to take it to hear in Massachusetts. I have heard some places in connecticut might do it....but again don't want to pay a ton. Just not sure if its something I can tackle.

This doesn't address your specific problem, but I remember from searching around a couple of years ago that the mirrors have a clip that is famous for breaking. When it breaks, the whole mirror can pivot freely, and it's apparently very hard to fix. However, there were some people that you could send the mirror to, and they would replace the clip for much cheaper than a new mirror. A new mirror, with the memory option, is more than $500. Perhaps you can find someone to fix it. Also, ebay sometimes has mirrors for sale. You might even find one that's your color.
