theft deterent
need some help -- dome light left on -- battery down, click,click -- charge battery -- engine starts -- remove key and wait 10 seconds comes on -- do as told -- car starts -- colume control lock comes on (service bulletin) complied with -- reset -- put in gear (auto) wheels turn-- car dies -- repeat (6) times --car dies as soon as wheels turn -- disconnect battery -- wait 10 mins -- reconnect -- same result -- it's like the theft deterent is disableing the fuel & I can't clear it -- 2000 vert -- of course it's 3:00 am, car packed for a 2000 mi trip to Iowa -- drove the 99 jeep wrangler (no air) -- not the same trip --HELP!!

It sounds like your car is a victim of the column lock recall. GM reflashed the computer to shut down the fuel supply if the computer thinks that the column is locked. I wish I knew what to tell you to do to fix it. You may want to do a search on column lock recall and learn all you can about this dreaded subject.
For those out there whose cars have not had the recall I suggest you keep it that way or you will be suffering this same plight.

Oh, welcome to the forum and be sure to fill in your personal profile.
Most people don't put in their complete name and exact date of bith for personal security reasons but people who read your posts look at your profile to determine your approximate age and location and what type of Vette you have so they don't have to ask you those things.
