Is there a forward and back adjustment for the headlights? My right side headlight protrudes much more than the left side. Sorry about the focus in the photos.
Right side light
Left side light. This looks much better.
Is there a way to move the right side light back into the unit?
if you're talking about the whole assembly, check the mounting bolts to make sure they're all tight. If they are you may have to use washers to balance out.
If you're talking about the plastic trim, that's just how it is.

Thanks, I'll check the mounting bolts. That may be the problem. My poor photos don't show very well, but the right side lamp actually protrudes over the front body panel in the up postion. I am a bit worried that if it is not corrected it will hit the panel as the light retracts if I have to aim any further to the right for alignment.

Yes, check the mounting bolts. You might have them in the wrong holes and they won't line up properly.
I had a real similar scenario a few years ago when I was aiming to suit me....you may be too far aimed to the left on that side?
It appears the housing is aimed too far to the right on that side. I would look at the horizontal alignment on that side and also check the bulb is properly seated in the back of the housing. If the bulb is not correctly seated, it could cause the need to over adjust the headlight aiming screws to correct for the bulb misalignment.
