I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem in their A4. When I put my foot to the floor from a dead stop it doesn't feel like the transmission kicks down the way it needs to. For example, my car really doesn't spin off the line at all and I have intake, exhaust, etc.
When I punch it from a roll such as 20 or so the car will light the tires up and move the way it is supposed to. Anyone else have this problem in theirs?
Two things to address here......there is an "abuse mode" in the standard programming in the PCM. You likely need to have that programmed out to be really happy with what your car is going to do off the line -- especially with the traction control engaged.
Second.........what gears do you have? The standard 2.73's are indeed dogs off of the line.....even the optional factory 3.15's, depending on your tires and available grip will feel doggy off of the line without serious power braking.......get yourself some 3.42's or 3.73's (which I have) with a 3000 RPM stall converter and you will be entirely satisified with your off the line performance, I can assure you!

Yea, I've already gotten rid of torque management in my tune with HP. I always have traction control disengaged no matter what it's like outside. I do have the 2.73's which I figured were the culprit but from a 20mph roll punch the car feels mean and I just don't get it.
I'd like to throw a stall and gears in like I did my old trans am but these damn vettes are too hard and expensive to mess with the rear end and tranny.
Not really that hard although it is a bit of work to do the swap. I did my wife's last week, putting in 3.42's, a 3200 stall and headers and it is a totally different car. It had the 2.73's and I couldn't get those out of there fast enough.

You mentioned in your thread that you got rid of torque management in your tune with HP. Are you using a HP Tuner? I was thinking about getting a Preditor. A friend really likes HP for his truck. Why is it better for Vette? Also, mine is a 2004 C5. What year is yours and would ir be different in regards to tuning?
Have you messed with the MAF table? In A4 the MAF tables plays a roll in calculating the line pressure for the tranny. If you have, then you will need to tweak the line pressure tables to get thing back to how they where. Be careful though, too much line pressure will fry the clutch packs!!!
