rocking drivers seat
My 2000 hardtop coupe has approx 59,ooo miles, and the drivers seat rocks back & forth when shifting hard. Anyone know how to fix or upgrade the repair? Thanks Rich

Rich, send me your e-mail address and I'll send a .doc on how I did mine in about 30 minutes a side.

My seat rocks, too.
It seems to vary with the position of the seat. I plan to fix this soon. Here is my dumb query...
1. wouldn't this be a good time to replace the GM worn-out leather since you have the seat out anyway?
2. my A4 shift indicator broke or came loose while making a few slow passes at the C5/C6 Bash. Seems like a good time to fix that one too?
3. What else while the seats are out of the way?

Or give it to me and I'll make it a PDF file and post it up.

I just did mine last night per the instructions on the posted link. It went so easy. For $2.40 its a simple job.
The seats come out of the car so easy (with the top off) I wouldnt worry about doing anything else at the same time. Especially if you have to build a budget for the seat covers or other parts anyway.

Hey guys, if you sitch the sides of the screw block when you are puttig it toghether, the seat will go foward when you try to move it back and so forth. I did this on my passenger seat to mess with people. It is kinda funny.
