Help shifter question
I just installed the new Z06 shifter in my 02-Z. I sure hope there was no adjusting i missed. The new shifter seems a little notchy going into gears.Or is this normal. No problem getting through all the gears, just wondering if i missed something. Install was pretty straight forward.

Did you install the complete shifter housing, or just the shifter lever?
If you installed the whole housing, I think the only thing to watch is to make sure you have the shifter locked in neutral when you connect the shaft.
Otherwise, there is no adjustment.
There is a small amount of movement in the mounting holes, that some have claimed allow for more precise centerning of the housing. You might do a search for those details if you are interested.

You're almost there. Do a search for Anti-Venom Mod in the archives. This $1.50 cent and about 10 minutes completes the shifter mod and compliments the '07 C06 shifter taking any notchiness out of it making it feel just like a Competition Plus on an M22. The notchiness comes from a detent in the trans more than the shifter.
