Default Would it be too loud with LT headers?

Currently I have the Corsa Indy's exhaust.. .sounds nice.. but needs more rumble. Would headers make it rediculously too loud? When i bought it used, it was coming from a guy that had installed LT headers and went to a stock Ti exhaust.. he said it was too loud with the headers.. but then again he was a older gentleman and I'm a young buck I mean are we talking straight pipe loud or Borla stingers loud or whatever loud... I don't want stupid loud but more then what I hae.. it's just not rumbley bumbley enough for me.

Some of it would depend whether or not you run cats. With LTs, no cats, and not much for mufflers I've been told it will be ungodly loud. I'm thinking the LG Pros I have, with HF cats, and the Bullets will be just right.

I say go for it. But cats will be the determining factor between loud and hell and just right, IMO.

It'll definitely be louder, but it's not by any means un-bearable. I find that I'm shifting earlier to stay out of the 2500-3000rpm scream that the Indy's have. I will say this - at WOT, this is absolutely the most incredibly wicked sounding car

I've got LGs, no cats, and just traded my Magnaflows for the Corsa Indy. It was too loud for me, until I added cats, and it's just right now. Of course, the H/C setup adds to the noise level, too.

So what you guys are saying is, LT headers WITH cats is probably what I want. So who has the best pricing with headers? I not necessarily looking for the best HP/TQ output, just louder and deeper and still using my cats.

A lot of it depends on you're taste. Cats or no cats, see if you can find one close to what you want.

LTs are going to make it *loud*. I have American Racing headers with cats and Borla stingers, with G5X3 cam and it's damn loud. It's perfect for me, but too much for a lot of people. It sets off car alarms, attracts attention everywhere, and makes it very hard to have a conversation in the car, especially with the roof up.

I would be cautious here. You sound like you don't want it too loud, and it could easily be too much for you. Seek out people in your regional section that have similar setups and go listen to some before deciding. I wholeheartedly recommend LT headers, but it's not for everyone.

KIDCID runs a H/C setup w/ LT's and Indy's. His car sounds great. He may have a vid..

Most header systems are sold as complete stock replacements, with the X pipe/cats, or OR replacing the midpipe. They then bolt up to your factory, or aftermarket catback. LG, Dynatech, American Racing, and Kooks, to name a few, all have such complete systems. I highly recommend LG headers.

I have corsas and long tubes with high flow cats. It can be loud, but I was more surprised how quiet it was in 6th gear at highway speeds

I don't have cats and I also have a cam. When I put it on an outdoor dyno at WOT some folks standing by it put their hands to their ears.
