Default 25,000 mile check engine light???
Question, This morning my wife was driving to work and right as the car flipped over at 25,000 miles the check engine light come on. The car is a 2004 and I was wondering if this is something GM puts into these cars to automatically pop up for scheduled maint. or what?

No 25K light, most likly a sensor. You will have to get the code read, could be something as simple as a loose gas cap. Is it running, starting ok?

Check your oil life remaining - it may not have been reset after changing oil -

check engine light could be any one of a myriad of things.......best to pull the codes up
