Hey Rob, I was talking to a coworker who races a 69 camaro weekly down at E-Town and he mentioned the same thing you said about the roll cage, anything under 12SEC is no go, its ironic that you go to the track to go as fast (speed and time) as you can and then the officals tell you to SLOW down, but thats a compliment on your ability and engine mods. i could understand cars with crap handling going down the track at 120+ MPH under 11 but our cars have superior handling among the many other new cars being made now that go 100 mph and feel like only going 40 mph. they have a tech that inspects your vehicle before you race. if they had any sense, they should allow the tech to determine whether or not a vehicle can go 11's without a bird cage.
Hmmm. Interesting thought about the M-cycle, but i guess when they look at the damage to be done by the bike and rider tumbling down the track verses the cars possible damage to the track they must believe that the car will do more harm, might be true, and might not...
