On the R door, using the remote lock, sometimes the door locks and sometimes it doesn't. The L door seems fine. It sounds like there is a clicking noise whether the lock closes or not. I've been reading several of the releated posts and decided to first of all check the electrical grounds. I know this is probably not the problem, but there have been several electrical codes: B1527, B2282, B2286, B2284, U1016,U1096, B2283, B2285, U1064, and U1016.
Next is the door. I was ready to replace the relays using the 2 excellent tutorials on this site, until I read one post where this did not fix the problem. A door lock solenoid was suspect. Is there any way to determine which is the problem from the get go?

You'll have to get the circuit board out of the module and reconnect it; then see if voltage is present on the coil terminals of the relay when lock is activated. My 98 had same problem; relay was at fault. Replaced both lock and unlock on driver's door; no more problems. Cheap fix using the Digi-Key parts... RK.
