Default HID's for DRL's?

I've got another set of HID's,...would like to eventually get C5R lights, for high speed night driving(want to eliminate drag)...but at there cost, i'll have to wait.

So, that said, anyone ever put HID's in place of the DRL's? Any kit's like this?

Just thought it would be a cool option, as opposed to useing the headlights, when needed.

Thanks. Oh, pictures would be great.

Some guys put them in their fog lights, don't think the DRL light sockets are deep enough for HID's.

The DRL are also your flashers, HID won’t work well for that, they don’t liked to be cycled and they need warm up time to get to full brightness.

I should have clarified...I just want to use the location, not the factory wireing.

Your 100% correct.

Those sockets are week plus the lense itself is not made to throw light that would work properly. I guess you could try it..your car.
