Misfire sensitivity is a bitch on the C5, the cam plays a big role in idle quality and that in turn can be the catalyst for the PO300. A competent PCM guru can take care of your problems in that department....often, on smaller cams, an idle adjustment will take care of the issue. That doesn't work in 100% of the cases though.

For what it is worth, I set that code when I had a bad connection with one of my sparkplug wires. Cleaned it up and I have not set it since.
