2001 Z06 intake same as 01' LS1 intake?

2001 Z06 intake same as 01' LS1 intake?

I was interested in the possibility about putting a Z06 intake manifold on my LS1 motor (along with other mods) and went to the dealer in town. When the parts guy looked it up, he stated that it had the same number as my 2001 LS1 intake??!! Anyone else have different part #'s or a visual way to differentiate from the two? I would hate to shell out $450.00, only to have it be the same part that I already have.

Yep, 2001 LS1 do have the Z06 intake.

Save the money for other mods :)

Careful!! It is my understanding that the 2001 C5 got the LS6 intake ONLY in the 2nd half of the model year!

Ours was built early August & has the LS6 intake.

Part numbers:
12561184 -new
VS
12556333

Also, the runners are a bit larger diameter on the '01+. Other than that they look identical to me, unti you take one off. :lol:
