Not sure about my next tire selection my car has 500+ hp. 1st and most of 2nd gear the Bridgestone run flats just boil. Would cheater slicks be a good buy? I have never even been in a car with cheater slicks so I don't know. The tires that are on the car have maybe 2k miles left on them? So cheater slicks or regular radials?
I have right at 600whp and I'm running the BFG G-Force KD tires. The car hooks most of the time in second if I don't stab the throttle. If I quickly roll into the throttle it will hook and take off like you know what. I also have coil overs so I don't know if that's making a difference as far as hooking up goes.
The tires are pretty expensive but you won't have to sacrifice your handling to get some really nice traction.
I have been running 305/35/18 Nitto drag radials on my car for the past 2+ years and have been very happy with how they hook on the street. When I go on road trips, I usually switch over to my alternate set of wheels and tires....Z06 wheels with BFG gForce KD. I have also used the KD tires for open road racing and the Texas Mile. They are very sticky (for a street tire) and are great for handling (again, for a street tire).
315 bfg dr's have hooked the best for me. i currently have some 335/30/18 street tires and from the way they hook i might as well have a stock tire on.
