It's just possible that during the dash pad removal/install process that you may have knocked a vacuum line loose. Also, the air traveling over to the pass. side goes through a duct which, if not routed/attached correctly may be contributing to your situation.

I did the HUD install on my car so I know that a whole lot of the HVAC is exposed when the dash pad is off.

Thanks for the tip about the hiss "Jimcork". All my vent function seems okay so i guess i was overly concerned about the noise. As for my comment on the a/c itself it seems to take longer to get cold air through the vents on a humid day. If the humidity drops it cools faster. Also whenever i start the car and switch on the fans the airflow in the car feels quite humid itself. I havent aquired a thermometer as of yet but theres no way its getting the vent temps you suggested even at the best of times.

For the original op, there is no A/C maintenance.......only repairs. The closest thing would be keeping the condenser clean and inspecting for oil leaks around oring joints, in which case you would add oil or refrigerant.

Dredpyrt, it takes more energy to cool humid air. The humid air has to condense its moisture into the form of water when it his the cold evaporator. Therefore, you will lose some of the actual coldness in the form of vent temps. But since the air is dryer, it still feels good and cold
If during not so humid days, you use the AC and then later when you use it again it is coming out of the vents like humid air, then maybe your drain vent at the evaporator box is clogged. This traps the moisture that condenses on the evap that should have drained to the road and instead pools up in the evap area. If it gets bad, it can freeze and restrict airflow through the evap (vents). Not to mention you can grow mildew or mold and it gets stinky

Good point. The car should be dripping water with the a/c running on high humidity days. If not the drain can be plugged inhibiting the cooling and cause mold / odor.

I have noticed a puddle under the car but i will double checking the tube for any blockage. Im also going to check the"udders" for crud buildup.
