What is proper voltage from the DIC?

What is proper voltage from the DIC?
00' vette, last night on start up the voltage from the DIC was 14/14.1 Volts. After driving about an hour the DIC was at 13.4/13.5 volts. During driving I also saw it drop even lower for a split second. While driving the only accessories on where the radio and foglamps. Once I put the car in the garage --- without the car started - just turned to on, the battery itself showed 11.8 volts. I thought I remembered when I initially bought the car in 00' that the voltage during driving was from 14.1 and 13.8 volts. Any help or sugguestions? Or is this normal and I have nothing to worry about.

You're reading too much on the forum and trying to find a problem. Those voltages are normal. Once the alternator has charged the battery with engine running, the voltage is supposed to drop back to prevent overcharging. When you hit the brakes or power windows, etc, you'll see a momentary drop. Stop looking at the DIC and look where you're going and enjoy the drive.
