I am considering the AFRs, Carteks, and I have heard the LS7s are the best head out right now. I am new to the corvette community(bought it yesterday) and would like to get a lil more power around 525 whp. The car dynoed at 479whp with a ported stock intake and ported ls1 heads. I am going to purchase the FAST this weekend and am wondering which heads to go with. I would appreciate all opinions and insight into this rather large purchase.

If you want one of the best heads, go with TEA T/F 225 heads.
They may not have the biggest runners, but they do flow the best numbers I've seen for a 225 heads. Larger runners usually kill velocity which kills your low & mid range torque.
General rule of thumb: Choose the best flow numbers with the smallest runners.
Thanks everybody for giving me some more options. I havent heard of the TEA. I will be searching them today, as for the Dart heads I havent seen too many forum members running them. I am still keeping my options open. Has anyone used the LS7 or recommend them?

This is misinformation nowadays. Look at the L92 builds. Huge intake runners but every single build so far has made phenominal low/mid range power. My makes a conservative 500+RWHP peak but 380RWT at 2200 RPM. Other build results concur.
My advice would be to pickup a set of LS7 heads and run the LS7 intake. This combination is making great power and drivability (low/mid power)

Recommend you do some more research. Do a search over in the C6Z06 section. Some of those guys with some cam, headers, and tune are putting down more than 600 rwhp plus some pretty impressive torque numbers. The trick seems to be putting together a package that works well together.
