Check the fuel filter up on the inside of the frame rail. THey are known to go bad and leak.
I'm assuming that you are talking about the sending unit gasket.
Pressure from the fuel pump has no effect on this gasket.
I'm sure that you have already tried re-tightening the bolts.
Be careful not to over tighten.
The service manual states that the gasket is supposed to be replaced whenever you go into the tank but I have had success re-using them and have read where others reuse them as well.
Be prepared to drain the tank. You will have to either replace the gasket or swipe the old one with a thin skin of silicon gasket sealer and re-install.
Don't worry, you will only smell like gasoline for a couple of days but the leak will be gone!
