power seat problem ?

power seat problem ?
2000 coupe the driver seat ! when you move it forward it seems like only the left side of the seat is moving . so the left side of the seat moves up and the right does not ?? are there two motors one on each side of the seat or is there a shaft that runs across from one side to the other !

Three motors total....
...one motor for the fore-aft movement, one for the front up-down, and one for the rear up-down.
There are separate tracks for the right and left sides, each has its own lead screw mechanism. Pull the seat out and look for something mechanical on the right-hand track that's broken, binding, etc.

I hate to tell you this, but I had the same problem on my 2002. Chevy dealer fixed it under warranty, but the service manager said the cost was $1,000.00.

I would fix it myself ..I am just trying to get somekind of idea whats under the seat ........ luckly I never move the seat so it is not really a problem ........... I will wait till winter to pull it apart and get the parts

Get new seats..might be cheaper. Next time someone is parting a car, grab the seats. And for a Z06...see if you can get manual seats....hardcore sports car after all....
I have a manual passenger. Dont know if you can get the driver in manual as well, but really wont mind that. More gimmics, more stuff to break.
