Is there any way to hook up a switch to manualy turn on your cooling fans to help with cooling the engine when its not running . while waiting for my next run at the track? if so any post explining what wires to tap and such.. thanks in advance for any and all help you guys can offer.
Ranger you seem to have alot of time at the track .What kind of times do you think I should be running in my car it a 2003 coupe with long tube headers , cold air intake and 3.42 gears. along with a tune? my best so far is 13.042 at 108.26 this is on runflats in 95+ temps my car was at 198 to 200 degree's my 60' times are 1.97 does this sound right or should I be seeing better times ? today Iam going to install a 160 thermostat hopeing to help with the operating temp at the track and tap into the relay for the fans Ill hook it up to a switch so I can turn them off and on for track use. is there a way took it up to run the fans on high?

Running the fans on low will keep the engine temp at the sweet spot of 190-194. It is possible to wire it to turn the fans on high. But I prefer simple and effective. My C5s ran worse, not better, at temps below 190.
Believe you can likely knock several more tenths off by improving the driver component. I write about the relevant techniques here and at my website. The approaches work. From where you are to where you want to be the process involves a lot of small adjustments, revolving around tire psi, heat to the tires, launch elements, shift points, shift speed, and groove awareness.
Suggest hooking up with other Corvette owners at the track, either rentals or the Corvette Challenge series. Great way to get some coaching on the fine points. Pay particular attention to advice from those running faster times with your power level and tranny.
