The LS7 block with after market internals set up as wet sump and L92 heads will make a wonderful LS7 427. ~525/525 RW and about $10K.
Have personally done several.

I wonder what the price differences for the following setups are:

1. Stroked L92 (418ci) w/ L92 heads and LS3 manifold

2. LS7 wet sump w/ LS7 heads (or ETP LS7 heads) and LS7 maifold.

The box stock ls7 heads are about 1000 more than the l92 heads. Not sure about the rest of the stuff.

^ Seeing that the LS3 makes 500+ w/ a cam and headers I can only assume that adding a stroker crank to that equation and porting the heads will get it to 550 at least

In response to lordbones post >> We do not have the website (www.praetorianracing.com) complete yet as we've been running pretty hard building engines. I promise that the website is coming soon and I'll definitely announce it here once it's up and running. In the meantime, I've been handling all inquiries for engines by email (doug@praetorianracing.com).

Cobra4B - the cost differential between an L92 and LS7 (wet sump) is around $1800. This is with both engines having upgraded internals, valvetrain, etc. We always use upgraded valvesprings, for example. Our 415-418ci packages have made 515+ rwhp. More and more of what we do is going to even larger displacement (using aftermarket sleeves). The larger bore (4.175+ vs. the LS7's 4.125) helps power by unshrouding the valves and ductile iron (as oppossed to the stock cast iron) sleeves result in a much more robust block. We plan to get some of these engines on the dyno soon.

I'm hoping. :-D then again, seeing how much power these ls1 heads/cams are making, it's hard to not just do a nice heads/cam swap.

LS7 intake, fuel rails, injectors and throttle body about $670.00 from Scoggins-Dickey if bought complete
