2 things to ask
Hey guy's I have a couple of questions about my 99 C5.
1. Here latley my security light has been coming on and staying on while driving. The car dosnt shut down or anything like that. It just comes on when ever it wants. I have cleaned the resistor chip in the key with rubbing alcohol and it still does it. I have also tried using my spare key and the same thing happends. Im wondering if it isnt the ingnition switch or something else. I would hate to order a new key
($50+) for it to still do it. Any sujestion????
2. I noticed today after work and got into my car and lowered the windows that the passanger window seemed to bottom out and made a "clunk" sound. Then when I went to raise it back up it gets about halfway and makes a grinding noise. Finaly it reaches the top and makes another "clunk" sound. Without taking off the door panel what might this be?

I'd see if any codes come up for your security light check out this page http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...d-ii-codes.php and it sounds like a regulator problem in your window, I doubt if the two are related but anything is possible.

I dont think the 2 are related but I would realy like to know why this stupid security light wants to come on whenever it want to.
The window thing, well it almost sounds like it is getting cought on something. I tried to listen closely today as I lowered it and that is what it sounds like, but when you close it, as it gets close to the top there is a loud "clunk".
Nobody else has any ideas on these issues.
I checked with my predator and Im not sure if it will read codes for the security system, but nothing came up. So Im at a loss as to what it could be.Hmmmmmm??
