Default braking/active handiling issue?

hi,

after some advise, i live in New Zealand so getting any dealer help is next to nothing,
i have a 2000 corvette, it has been converted to right hand drive(legally has to be to drive on NZ roads)
problem with the vehicle is when i go round a round-a-bout in the road (turning right) the brakes feel as if they are coming on sort of like abs pulsing also, i have a Snap-On modis and have checked in abs for faults, no codes have come up, i checked all wheel speed sensors via the scope, all appear to be normal and both front give me a pattern the same size. i have tried turning the active handiling off and even put into competition mode, it still does it, it does every now and then with left hand turns, this is done at low speed say 20kmph (around 15Mph)
like i said there isnt alot of info in this country on the vehicle i would say this would be one of around 20maximum that would be here. Is this a function of the vehicle or does it sound like a fault? it does it even if i dont put my foot on the brake pedal which i thought was strange, if i had done that i would think a wheel speed sensor was intermittant. but even without braking it does it. im scratching my head a little bit at the moment
so any help would be wonderful.

ps: when it does it the active handiling comes up on the display, our customer also has another vehicle but he says this fault doenst happen to him, im unsure if that car has active handiling though

I would say it sounds like the Active Handling is applying the brake at one of the wheels but it shouldn't do that when the system is switched off. AH works by applying the brake on a single wheel. It sounds like you need to check codes using the On Board Diagnostics. Depending on what you are doing there may be no problem with the AH activating but when you turned the system off it should not activate.

To check the other car the RPO Code for AH is JL4 and should be shown on the options sheet posted on the glove box door.

hi bill,
what do you mean i need to check the on-board diagnostics? i have checked all systems the modis will let me into, the engine, trans, bcm, abs, and airbag, the only other codes i got where for the rear 02 sensors being inefficient but in this country emissions arent checked and the cats have been taken out of the exhaust, bringing the check engine lamp on, i have suggested ways for our customer to overcome this which included putting new cats in but its not a concern over here as we dont get tested

i will recheck that the active handiling switch is actually working although it does come up on the dash,
like i said its been converted to RH so i suppose a wire could have been missed if they needed to extend them.

also what determines when the active handling comes on, like is it done by wheel speed vs road speed vs turning angle or something like that.
just want to get an insight as to why it comes on even when it should,
thanks,
blair
