I would like to raise the front of my 97 c5 just about an inch for ground clearance.
How would I go about this.
Thanks
Lift the car, looking from the back forward there will be a bolt on the lower control arm with a square(it looks square to me anyways) rubber bushing, to raise the front go down on the bolt.

It makes it a lot eaiser if you remove the wheels. With the wheels off you can see what you are doing. Make sure you adjust each side the same amount. Try two full turns on each side and then check your ride height.
If you just raise the front you will make the car unstable at higher speeds. You need to keep the same rake, or close to it, as stock.
But, just do a search for lowering and do the opposite to raise it up.
Ever since i had the turbos put in my vette sits at a rake The rubber flap sits so low now i swear it would hit a ant on the road Anyone know the exact height the flap should sit up from the ground?
Try driving it everyday and dodging everything you see in the road. Can get old really really quick I can see maybe keeping it lowered if it's a garage queen
I am a newbe to the C5s and like to check with you guys before I do anything.
The rear on my 97 car is much higher then stock[I think] The spring is pulled up tight to the A arm.
I would like to lower it a little by backing out the bolts an inch or two to get it back closer to stock.
Where should I jack it?
Do I need to get the wheels off the ground to do this or just lift enough to get under there?
Can I do one side at a time?
How about jacking point to do the front? It looks to be pulled down some and I would like to raise it just a little.
Thanks for replys.
