I installed a new Textralia OZ700 clutch about 5-600 miles ago whenever i installed my longtubes and cam. Now, here recently it almost sounds as if it is slipping. I have noticed that it does not do it when i first start it up. After driving around for a bit it starts to make a squealing noise as it engages? At idle sometimes u can hear it rattling and the squealing sound i am hearing only does it whenever i start off from a dead stop in first or reverse. Any Help?
*side note: i did not install of do the work, i had a local very reputable shop install and do all the work.
That's pretty much the nature of the beast with the Tex Z-grip. You can learn to modify your driving technique to minimize the squealing and chattering. It is also very helpful to beat on the clutch every now and then to keep those bad manners in check. Try a few high rpm clutch dumps on sticky tires, and start off in 3rd gear every once in a while...that will do wonders for its driveability.

This post is right on the money! These clutches don't like to be babied!
Mine made the squealing sound at around 1k miles and after beating on it some it has not returned since. If you do a search you will find the squealing is quite common. I also had a very slight rattling noise at idle, but I dont notice it anymore. Not sure if its still there or that I just got used to it. It was very faint and you really had to listen for it.
