I guess I havent been paying attention enough when taking my top on and off.
Last night I noticed that I was folding over the B-pillar weatherstrip, when reinstalling the top, at the end where it meets the weatherstrip on the top. After I pulled it out so it wasnt folded over I noticed that the rubber is torn.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it easy to replace this piece?
Also, is there any chance this is covered by the factory warrenty?
Re: Coupe B-pillar weatherstrip torn (66ImpalaLT1)
Yes I have it. My father had it on his '01 coupe as well. I think it is fairly common. The part of weather strip that surrounds the hole for the alignment post is pretty weak.
I haven't had mine replaced yet, but my father has, and they did a good job, so I'm not too worried about taking it in.

Just had mine (01 Red Coupe) replaced at 5,000 miles...The dealer did a nice job but make sure the seats are covered. They use a very sticky, black adhesive that "seems" to get everywhere...
