c6 Zo6 diff in a c5 Zo6
Will a c6 Z06 diff fit into a c5 Z06 . If modifications are required, what are they? I have a c5 racecar that has blown up the diff. I would like to replace it will a stronger unit with the factory cooler from the c6 Z06

You may want to consider sticking with the C5 Diff.
if you compare the 2 units the C6 diff has longer mounting tabs than the C5 and from what I understand that is their weak point.

I don't have a good enough pic available of the C5 diff but maybe someone could post one up.

The whole rear end exploded going down the back straight at Road Atlanta, in 5th gear running about 160. We put it on the trailer and went home. I thought maybe we could install the diff. like my C6Z has. Looking for info. The C5Z that exploded has an after market cooler that supports both the tanny and diff. A mess to get the proper fluid levels.

Check with DTE, got a stage 5 from them (very stout IMO) that i've tweaked.
Your problem sounds a bit familiar, I've heard about some guy out in the Middle East having the same problem at speed, the housing failed on his stocker if I recall.
If you need something more stout than a stage 5, well, I want your problem then !
btw, what aftermarket trans/diff cooler were your running?
