A/C Mode Adjustment Not Working???
My friend has a '97 and is having a problem when trying to adjust his A/C mode from the top to the middle to the low vents or some combintation of those on his electronic control. The mode viewer arrows show where the air should be coming out when he makes a change, but the air continues to come out from the same vents all the time. There is a little air coming out from all three locations, top, middle and bottom, and it won't change. Any ideas what it will take to fix this problem (i.e. electronic control board, motor, etc.), approximate parts cost, and difficulty of repair (can it be done be done without a tech manual by someone with a little savy)?
