What do I need to do?
Kind of a vauge questions don't you think?
I recently had a tune, pushed my RPMs up to 6500rpms and was told I need to replace my valvesprings and pushrods. Is this necessary? If it is what is a good cost effective solution for this? Z06 Yellow Springs? Patriot Valve Spring Kit? If the Patriot kit, what pushrods do I get?
How hard is the install? I am not experienced to engine building or modifing.....
Recently at WOT I am getting this tick tick tick sound, but only at WOT....Any ideas?
I am also getting the stupid chirp chirp sound and assuming it is my idler pully....What do I need to order and is it easy to install?
check your crank pully for wobble if its ok replace your ac belt and pully belt with gator backs that should clear it up if not replace the tenchiner on top if not than your ac tenchiner may be the problem and make sure your water pump isn't leaking on your crank pully that all the things i checked when that happened to me it was the water pump that leaked on my crank pully and it began to wobble i had to replace the water pump and crank pully with a fluidampner wha la chirp was gone and runs much smoother
If you rev up there 5500+ then you might be experiencing valve float and that's why they recommended push rods and springs.
Changing the push rods is easy.
It doesn't sound like changing the valve springs is for you. Let a shop do it if you really want to and you rev the engine high.
