Default Lowering Question

Could anyone tell me by how much you can lower the front & rear using the stock bolts only? Is this really a good way to lower the car or is there a more proper/correct way to do it? Would like to know more of the pros & cons of doing this before going ahead.

Thanks,

I lowered my 2000 all the way on the stock bolts. Did it in the driveway at home. About an 1.25". Had to buy a new "racing" jack to get under it. Chassis clearance is about 3.5". Watch out for steep driveways and swales in the road. The suspension felt "harder."

Autox times improved by about .5 seconds.

Had Phoenix weigh each wheel and cross balance to make sure the nose wasn't high before I did a Pocono HPDE. They raised the rear slightly.
