Default Need Help Immediately! Skid Bar Damage

I damaged my Skid Bar is located in the lower bottom and told it was connected to the radiator or it's holding the radiator, anyway one side of it is completely hanging and I was just wondering if I could use the same one or buy a new one because i was told by a local mechanic that it needs to be solder back on. and suggested to purchase a new or used one. i will also need the front bumper kit. i ran over a latter i think that did it. Thanks in advance. how much would this cost? any ideas?

i have a 01 C5

Default Front Bumper Skid Plate

I have replaced the skid plate. It is a bit of a pain . Cost is about $250 from the dealer. Additionally you have to purchase several nuts that fit into the skid plate tubing that holds various parts (front air dam, horn, air pump). The skid plate is not painted, so you get to paint or it will rust. If a bracket is broken off, it could be welded back on. If it is badly bent, you should replace it. It does hold your radiator in place, so it is important. Hope this helps
