Does replacing the stock wires and spark plugs on a 2002 Z06 with performance wires and plugs make any sense? Is there really any measurable performance benefit over stock? If you have made this change, was it worth it or is it all hocus, pocus like changing speaker cables that are pretty much the same. Thanks for your feedback.
IMHO, those expensive wires are snakeoil and a waste of money, in fact some cause electronic noise (RFI) that other parts like PCM picks up and causes weird problems.
The wire length is so short they only are about 330 Ohms thus the stock wires and esp new ones are just fine.
Plugs themselves I would check every 12,000 miles and clean/regap or pay 2 bucks a pop for new ones, I see no difference between those and the ones costing 4 bucks each.
