It's because of the headers - you hear more valvetrain noise because they're alot thinner than the stock manifolds. I suggest you get a louder cat-back exhaust.
While I think you are correct TM-96CE I can say first hand that with my aftermarket cam, headers, heads, lifters, and shorter push rods I have very little "sewing machine" noise.
