Default outside rearview mirror

I have a cracked outside rearview mirror, is the glass replaceable without replacing the entire head? Can someone direct me? thanks

Try the "search" file, a while back I posted sluggish mirror problems and someone said that if you adjust it "all the way out" it can be popped off.

Yes you can replace them. www.gmpartsdirect.com is one place to look. You do adjust the mirror all the way out so you can pop it off. Be careful putting back on so they do not break There is 2 different part numbers for heated mirrors and non- heated.

I don't know whether your mirror is heated or not, or how to find the GM part/cost (I couldn't) for just the mirror.

You can buy the mirror glass for about $20 shipped if you search or you can have a local glass shop cut/replace it for about the same price.

If its heated, that only involves two extra wires then removing the glass from the plastic frame, removing the sticky "heating pad" and then restick to new glass and re-glue
