You let the secret out of the bag.
But I don't find it too helpful as it's green and blends in with everything else in the HUD.
The LS1 doesn't taper off like most motors as it winds up, so I end up using the bounce off the rev-limiter as my shift light too often (doh).

It does have a shift light. If you're adept at focusing on the HUD while driving then it is invaluable. It says shift now at 5750 RPMs if I'm not mistaken. As you're driving, when you see that extra little light come up in your field of vision you shift. I personally wait a split second or so after I spot the light to shift, because the car still benefits from another 100-150 RPMs.
