You may need to open the box so that you can dry the circut board of the BCM. I would give it a try. Mine was soaked and after drying it out it has worked flawlessly since.
I just went and took it out and opened it and put it in front of a fan, lets hope it works!
I meant open it and remove the board. You can dry it easily that way
You bend the case open, then you should be able to slide the board completely out. There may be some retaining tabs to bend also(memory is not so good now).
Mine had some white scale on it. I used a toothbrush and some rubbing alcohol to clean that off.
