I am trying to avoid a trip to the shop to get this resolved in case it is something small and easy to fix!
1997 Corvette
-Passenger Door won't lock with the power feature either from the remote or from the power door lock button (either side).
-The button on the passenger door will lock and unlock the driver side
-The driver side is operating fine
-If the passenger door lock is manually pushed into the locked position, it will unlock with either the remote or the power button on the door.
I would greatly appreciate any help or guidance you guys would have on this problem. THANKS!!!!
Before you take the door panel off, try this. Shake the black accordion shaped rubber cover in the hinge area of the passenger door and see if the unlock starts to work. If it does, post back and I'll tell you how to fix it.

Thanks for the link. I am guessing it is the door lock relay. Technically speaking it's a little beyond my comfort level. Looks like it's off to the shop. Thanks for the help!!!

I'm interested in the fix here...
Not sure if playing with the accordian fixed it, but it seems to work for now. I could hear the relay before, even when it wasn't working, though...
There are two plugs under the black accordion tube, down at the hinge area of the car. They get loose or corroded and can stop all functions of the door or just one or more. If you slide the black tube away from the car and disconnect the two plugs, clean and tighten the pins, it should take care of the problem. Here are a couple of pictures another forum member posted.
Its usually the black or orange wire in the picture of the connector above, the terminal has poor tension and causes intermittent problems. If that is the case you need to replace the terminal in the connector. Otherwise I would remove the door panel and install a test lamp across the door lock actuator connector, if it works replace the actuator, if the lamp does not light in both directions then replace the door module. I have done around 30 of these, it either ends up being the loose terminal or the door module. I have never had to replace the door lock actuator.
I wanted to follow up on this problem. Turns out is the Door Control Module (as I figured based on your responses) it is probably just the Relay as I see is a common problem, but the shop is replacing the whole DCM. Thanks!
HEY! I'm having a problem with my c5 passenger side module! I know there's a short I just don't know where it is! The first module burnt and after time it sent that short to the driverside door module. after replacing both modules I saw the module smoking quickly took it off but managed to fry a small piece on the circuit board of the module, same spot it did before! It didn't burn the driverside thank the lord! I need the schematics to see exactly what this wire goes too, its the part of the module the RED PLUG plugs into! Where is that Red plug coming from!!!! ANY HELP? THANKS! tonybcustumz@hotmail.com
