Changing Fan On/Off while keeping 172° Thermo?

Changing Fan On/Off while keeping 172° Thermo?
With the Stock 172° thermostat, & stock programming the cooling fans are set as follows:
Fan 1 on/off at: 227°F/218°F
Fan 2 on/off at: 235°F/228°F
Is there a problem setting them to this:
Fan 1 on/off at: 184°F/175°F
Fan 2 on/off at: 194°F/185°F
Without changing to a 160° Thermo?
Fan 1 on/off at: 227°F/218°F

Yes, they are controlled by the PCM. A PCM re-program can do it.
I realize it can be done, I gues I should have been more clear in my question....is it advisable?

If you really have a 172 thermostat it'll cause no problem. My concern is that you state you have a "stock 172 thermostat". The stock C5 thermostat opens at 195, not 172. If you have the stock 195 thermostat and lower your fan on/off temps, the fans will run all the time after first warmup of the car. Probably not good for long term life of the fan motors. :chevy
